About us DG Development formulates the development policy applicable to ACP countries and conducts forward studies to this end.

Development Policies The European Consensus on Development is a policy statement reflecting the EU willingness to make a decisive contribution to the eradication of poverty in the world and to help build a more peaceful and equitable world.

Geographical Partnerships Relations between the EU and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) states are an important aspect of the EU development cooperation.

How we do it DG Development is in charge of programming financial resources and supports of management of EDF and other forms of Community aid. Relations with other development actors and international organizations assures synergies between partners for effective poverty eradication.
